Roskilde Culture

Roskilde CultureIn ancient times, Roskilde was the capital of Denmark. Roskilde Cathedral has been the entombment place of Danish kings and queens since the 15th century. Roskilde Cathedral has now gained the number on World Heritage List. Beside the structural design of Roskilde Cathedral, a museum of innovating national and international art is flourished in the culture of Roskilde. An extravagant Viking Ship museum Roskilde is the home of modified museum exhibitions and golf courses.

The Viking Ship Museum is placed on the water's edge of the beautiful Roskilde Fjord. Its reality results from the local discovery of five ancient Viking boats, now restored and on display in the museum. You can also watch cruiser builders working on the reconstruction of a 30 meter long Viking warship.

The complete line-up for this year’s Roskilde Festival

Every year since 1971, the small Danish municipality of Roskilde make merry of the largest music festival in Northern Europe, presenting a progressive and imaginative music involuntary ranging. It represents nearby day rock to electronic music, hip hop and global beat with an extensive programmed of events, art and activities. In 1972, the festival was taken in excess by the Roskilde Foundation, which has been running the festival as a non-profit organization for development and support of music and  humanism culture.

The festival has an outsized camping area and seven music stages out of which the Orange Canopy Stage bide in 1978 from a Rolling Stones company is the world famous symbol of Roskilde Festival. Roskilde Festival is held in south of Roskilde in Denmark and is one of the five biggest annual rock music festivals in Europe ,the those fours are the Szigeti Festival, the Glastonbury Festival, the Paleo Festival and Rock Werchter festival. Despite previous worry about the disappearing available space for camping, Roskilde Festival will continues to provide camping facilities and booths offering food, drinks, bathing areas, and supermarket places.

 

Frederiksberg Culture

Fraderiksberg CultureFrederiksberg is a city located in the large island of Zealand or Sjaelland in Denmark. Casing 1,300 square kilometers of land area, it is situated at the northern end of the island, facing the Baltic Sea. The seat of Frederiksberg County is Hillerod , and as of the present, there are nearly 400,000 inhabitants living in this Frederiksberg region.

The town of Frederiksberg changed slowly from a farming community to a merchant town, with artisans and merchants. During the summer seasons, rooms were offered for rent, and restaurants served food to the people of Copenhagen who had left the cramped city for the open land, and to be near their  royals. There are Frederiksberg Castle houses with an extensive collection of Danish paintings. Pictures of old kings or famous people of Denmark, battles and wars that where discover, etc.

Among 1615 to 1622 ‘Adriaen de Vries' Neptune Fountain at Frederiksberg Castle in Hillerod has a position of its own in the monument of this period.On version of its stylish and imaginatively mannered style; this work became Swedish treasure in 1659, and the statistics were taken to Drottningholm Castle; and therefore the fountain in Frederiksberg was reconstructed in 1888. Under Christian IV, many of the churches in the cities were adorned with furniture in the decorated style has known as the auricular style.

 

Copenhagen Culture

copenhagen-cultureSince the belated 1990s, Copenhagen has undergone an alteration from an intimate Scandinavian capital to a cool metropolitan city of international scope in the assortment of cities like Barcelona and Amsterdam. It was considered that the city was facing repeatedly attacked by the Hanseatic League as the Germans took notice of it. In
1254, it received its agreement as a city under Bishop Jakob Erlandsen. During1658 to1659 it disputed a severe siege by the Swedes under Charles X and successfully repelled a major aggression.

With a rich history that is evident in Copenhagen historical buildings and ancient streets with dozens of world class museums and galleries, and the uniquely captivating Tivoli Gardens
along with a resident monarchy that is the oldest in the world, the Danish capital has provided a host of attractions that suit all tastes of tourist’s attraction.

Music- Despite the greatest struggle of massive Danish composers, it’s the song, 'Wonderful, Wonderful Copenhagen' by Danny Kaye's from the film in 1952 ,Hans Christian Andersen buzzes maddeningly in people's head when they visit the city.

Dance-The Royal Ballet performs at Det Kongelige Teater originated at the end of the eighteen century, under the ‘Galeotti’ an Italian choreographer. The company achieved its prime in the nineteen century beneath August Bournonville. The central venue for current dance is Dansescenen, Øster Fælled Torv 34.

Night of culture program in Copenhagen

The programs accommodate all the chief museums and exhibition halls, churches, libraries, schools, organizations, and a great number of venues which are normally not open to the public. But there are also public spaces which are transformed into stages for musical performance, poetry reading, art exhibitions and more events. Helsingborg Culture

Lund Culture

lund cultureLund is located in the province of southern Sweden and was founded when Scanian lands were a part of Denmark. The city has been growing rapidly and is a major tourist attraction. Lund culture mainly depends upon the student population in the city and the student traditions. The nightlife is also majorly characterized by the student culture at student fraternities termed as “Nations”.

The city also encourages concerts and theatres through the city theatre and many other places for concerts and performances. The city also has the largest open-air museum Kulturen, which is the largest in Scania. The museum is of historical importance since it is the second largest open-air museum in the world. Kulturen has above 30 buildings and a huge collection of Scanian crafts, art, history and archaeology. The tourists can have a look at the various kinds of exhibitions hosted at the museum and experience the Swedish culture throughout centuries.

Lund has a rich lineage of classical writers and poets who have been contributing to the prosperous literature and art assets of the city. The music and theatre in the city are greatly influenced by the schools, churches and student festivities. The vast tradition in music of the city is accentuated by the Spex tradition and the Lund Carnival. The musical front has now even developed a jazz and pop culture.

The Lund Carnival is arranged by the students and is held every four years. The city festival features music fairs, humorous skits, satire, parody and madness. The carnival is famous for the performances by students during the parade in wagons. The festival has also been creating opportunities for the budding artists.

The city is famous for two top hand ball teams and a chess team. On the industrial front, it is a centre for many technological and telecommunication companies along with medical and biotechnological industries.
