Nightlife in Copenhagen changes fast and starts late. Most night clubs in Copenhagen only begin to fill up around midnight. New clubs and bars spring up regularly.
Several of the newer additions include Subsonic, featuring a 'preserved' Bier Keller corner, a large dance floor and a perfect copy of a SAS lounge with original aircraft seats. The music is predominantly 80’s dance. Also there is a new fever in the old X-Ray club, which is a Hip hop and R&B club. A comfortable lounge area makes it a good place for an earlier start, with the dance floor picking up around midnights on Friday and Saturday only.
Whether you like live music, trendy, cozy or genuine places, Copenhagen's nightlife has something for you. Many places keep on swinging till dawn. If you go to a fancy nightclub, dress code is international look, and if you feel like a simple walk that too can be carried on the night streets of Copenhagen. Many of Copenhagen's night cafés, bars, restaurants and clubs change character from bar to café etc. During a 24-hour period you can experience something which you don't afford to miss! One of those so called hybrid-bars is Aura at Nytorty.
