Malmö is a bustling city with a huge number of tourists and an equal number of residents hording the city locations at any given time. The city is popular for the various tourist attractions that it presents as well as the shopping opportunities that come along. Malmö is fabulous for shopping and provides various shops and stores that are conveniently located in the centre of the city and within walking distance from each other.
The city offers lucrative shopping opportunities and has five main shopping plazas in the centre. HansaCompagniet, Triangeln, Entré, Storgatan, and Caroli are the main shopping centers in the city. These shopping centers offer a mixture of town shopping that include clothes, jewelry, books, electronics and others, blended with eating outlets. Storgatan chiefly offers clothes for young people and some of the popular coffee shops too.
The city of Malmö has a pedestrian shopping zone in the centre that reaches from the Main Square Stortorget to Gustav Adolfs Torg, along Södergatan. The shopping street then runs down along Södra Föstadsgatan to Triangeln. These offer a large number of departmental stores, boutiques, shopping outlets, restaurants, cafés and pubs.
Södergatan and Södra Förstadsgatan are the main shopping streets that offer all kinds of shops. Les Trois Roses at the Gustav Adolfs torg (Davidshallstorg) is a great chocolaterie, Village offers well designed home-ware, and Form/Design Center on Lilla Torg offers other shopping facilities. Mobilia Shopping Center and Jägersro Center are other shopping plazas outside the city centre. The city offers several opportunities in the shopping precincts for the tourists.
